You are here

Sweet (20)16!

Happy New Year, everyone!!  Things may not be as loud on the construction as it was in 2015, but there is so much going on.  I will do my best to catch everyone up!

Right before the end of the year, the second floor of the building was poured!  It was another great milestone to reach before 2015 came to an end.  Walking on the second floor brings a whole other aspect of the building to life.  You can actually walk where the auditorium will be.  You can walk to where the upstairs deck will be overlooking the courtyard and meditation garden.  You can see what the view will be from the windows from the second floor windows.  It's a whole other level of excitement. (pun intended)

Below you can see the second floor from standing in the middle of where the auditorium will be built.

Speaking of roof.....the kitchen roof is being prepped below.

I cannot say enough good things about all the wonderful, talented people who are involved with this project.  Meetings are increasing to coordinate different aspects of the building.  This week we were coordinating all the different people involved with our security for the new building.  We had a room full of men who represented technology, electricity, architects, construction, and all led by our security sub-contractor.  They were all using their expertise to make sure they did the best job possible for Saint William and our building.  I couldn't help but be reminded of the scripture verse:

Romans 12:3-8 - For by the grace given to me I tell everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than one ought to think, but to think soberly, each according to the measure of faith that God has apportioned. For as in one body we have many parts, and all the parts do not have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ - and individually parts of one another. Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us exercise them: - if prophecy, in proportion to the faith; if ministry, in ministering; if one is a teacher, in teaching; if one exhorts, in exhortation; if one contributes, in generosity; if one is over others,- with diligence; if one does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.

We all have such a huge part in the building....each part varying from one another, but equally important....from the prayers, to the financial gifts, to the expertise of our contractors, all of these things are being used to complete this project.  THANK YOU!!

And here's the view from the second floor of our beautiful church, where we come together as one body to give thanks and glory to God.
