Student Attendance & Behavior Policy

Attendance & Punctuality:

Attendance will be taken each week of class.  If the student will not be in attendance, please inform Audrey Molidor, Middle School Coordinator or his/her teacher prior to the absence. Notification of parents will result from excessive absences. Class begins with prayer.  Tardiness is disruptive & impolite during a time of prayer.  Please do your best to have your student to class on time.  We understand situations arise that prevent punctuality, but please keep these occurrences to a minimum.

Behavior:

Our catechists and assistants are volunteers. It is important that the middle school students are respectful in class and behave properly. After warnings from the catechist, a student who disrupts class will be escorted to Audrey Molidor for further discussion.  If we deem necessary then a call to their parent or guardian for early dismissal will be made. Continued disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. Serious disciplinary problems will result in the student not being allowed back to class without a parent or guardian. These decisions will be left up to the discretion of Audrey Molidor with consultation from Fr. Alberto.

Cell phones, I-pods, etc.     These will not be allowed during class time or at any extra curricular event.  I realize the need to be able to contact family, but during a formal presentation any use of cell phones or I-pods will be denied.  The cell phone or I-pod will be taken up & the parent will be asked to recover it from Audrey Molidor for the student.

After Class    We ask that students be picked up immediately following class.  The need for promptness is essential for everyone’s safety.  All students who remain after 8:30pm will be waiting for their ride in the Religious Education building main office. Please call Audrey Molidor @ 600-8174 (office phone).
