  1. What does the word Gospel mean?
      Gospel is a word that means good news.

  2. What is the good news of Jesus?
      The good news of Jesus is that God loves, forgives, and cares for all of us.

  3. What is the Law of Love?
      The Law of Love is to Love God with all your heart, soul and mind and love your neighbor as yourself.

  4. What is a sacrament?
      A sacrament is a powerful sign through which Jesus shares God’s life and love with us.

  5. How many sacraments are there?
      We celebrate seven sacraments.

  6. Name the Sacraments.
      The seven sacraments are: Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, Reconciliation, Anointing of the Sick, Matrimony,           and Holy Orders.   

  7. What are the sacraments of initiation?
      The sacraments of Initiation are: Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist.

  8. What is the sacrament that welcomes us into the Church?
      Baptism welcomes us into the Church.

  9. What does the word Eucharist mean?
      The word Eucharist means to give thanks.

10. What is the celebration of the Eucharist called?
       The celebration of the Eucharist is called the Mass.

11. What is the Mass?
      The Mass is our greatest prayer of thanks and praise to God.

12. What gift does Jesus give us in the Eucharist?
      Jesus gives us the gift of Himself in the Eucharist.

13. What happens at each celebration of the Eucharist?
       The bread and wine become the Body and Blood of Christ at each celebration of the Eucharist.

14. What are the names of the sacraments of Healing?
      The sacraments of Healing are: Reconciliation and Anointing of the sick.

15. What do we celebrate in the sacraments of Reconciliation?
      We celebrate God’s love and forgiveness in the sacrament of Reconciliation

16. What is sin?
       Sin is freely choosing to do something that we know is wrong. It is disobeying God’s law on purpose.

17. What are the Ten Commandments?
      The Ten Commandments are laws God gave us to help us live as God’s people.

      The Beatitudes are Jesus’ guidelines for true happiness.

      The three Persons of the Holy Trinity are God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
