Volunteer Opportunities

THANK YOU for your interest in volunteering at Saint William. We have about 128 ministries in our parish that are led by parishioners such as yourself. Should you feel called to become a volunteer or participate in ministry, please know that you will be supported with prayer, guidance, and formation.

Immediate volunteer opportunities can be found by clicking on the "volunteer blog" above.

Service-matching a potential volunteer is conducted by appointment only.  You may call for an appoitment or discuss options with Tommy Sustaita, Volunteer Coordinator at 512-600-8190 or email at volunteer@saintwilliams.org

Our Goals
We aim to discover our gifts together as Disciples of Christ while sustaining the gospel values of love and respect for each person. All adult volunteers working with minors or vulnerable adults are required by the Catholic Diocese of Austin to be compliant with the Ethics and Integrity in Ministry (EIM) policy.

There are three (3) steps required to become a volunteer and EIM compliant at Saint William Parish:
1. New to volunteering please call Tommy Sustaita, Volunteer Coordinator to schedule a volunteer discernment, determine Ethics and Integrity in Ministry (EIM) status, and register for a EIM workshop.

2. Existing and returning volunteers please confirm your EIM status through the Austin Diocese website https://www.eappsdb.com/Login.asp?ORGZ_KEY=4 or the volunteer coordinator’s office at (512) 600-8190.

3. Attend an Ethics and Integrity in Ministry Workshop.

All parishioners are called to be protectors of children and vulnerable adults.
That’s why we ask your participation in the Ethics and Integrity in Ministry program.
As an adult, it is your role in the faith community to keep your eyes and ears open and to report any suspicious activity to designated staff and church officials.

Ethics and Integrity in Ministry is the participation in a servant’s love for others. We emulate Christ’s love for mankind by taking refuge in this.
