Coordinator of Youth Ministry

The dynamic parish of Saint William Catholic Church is seeking a motivated, faith-filled individual for the Coordinator of Youth Ministry position. This person would join a youth ministry team, composed of the Director of Youth Ministry and the Coordinator of English Middle School Ministry, as well as an amazing staff of highly qualified ministry leaders. Under the direction of the Director of Youth Ministry and in line with the vision of the Pastor, the Coordinator of Youth Ministry will empower the teens to become missionary disciples.

 

The Coordinator for Youth Ministry must be bilingual since an element of what they will oversee includes the formation of youth whose language of faith is Spanish. Their duties will include: middle school and high school ministry, Confirmation, and RCIA-Adapted for Children. Responsibilities include leading our youth in grades 6-12 into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ through evangelization, creative catechesis, service, and worship.

 

Candidates must possess excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish, coupled with strong organizational habits that will allow them to be successful in collaborating and achieving the program's needs ranging from budgeting and planning to recruitment and implementation of vision. Candidates should have a working knowledge of the document Renewing the Vision.

 

This is a full time salaried position with benefits.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications

Required:

·        Bilingual (English/Spanish)

·        Practicing Catholic

·        Certified in the Diocese of Austin Ethics and Integrity in Ministry program within 60 days of employment and maintain certification throughout the employment period.

 

Preferred:

·        Undergraduate degree/certification in Theology, Religious Education, Pastoral Ministry, or a related field

·        2-3 years’ experience in a parish setting
