For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you made me welcome – Matthew 25,35
On Thanksgiving day Saint William Catholic Church will host a meal at the Saint William Parish Hall, from Noon – 2 p.m. for anyone in the Round Rock area who is in need, or who does not have family locally, or for those who simply want to join in a large gathering on this special holiday.
How you can help:
We invite those of you who cannot be present for the meal to participate in “Annie’s Way” by preparing a dish such as some turkey, dressing, a salad, potatoes, cranberry sauce, etc…, and bring it to Saint William Parish Hall on Thanksgiving Day as an extension of your family to be shared with those in need.
God bless you for your generosity.
Annie was the warm and generous mother of one of our former members here at Saint William. On Thanksgiving, she would set out three dishes, sometimes more. When she had completed preparing the meal she would fix and wrap the three plates and have a family member deliver them to three people who had no family. When they returned home, everyone would then give thanks for their blessings and enjoy their meal. Through Annie has been gone for many years, her family continues the beautiful and warm tradition that she began.
